At Prestige Business Management, we strive to collaborate with ground-breaking partners that can provide real value for our customers. In this spirit of this ethos, we actively support and raise funds for Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) as our charitable partner. We believe passionately that good business philanthropy can help change our communities for the better.
Tangible Support for BACA Provides Invaluable Empowerment
So far Prestige has donated £6,154, added to that are other donations that Sam has managed to secure for B.A.C.A, totaling over £10,000 altogether. This has gone straight to the children to pay for therapy to help them recover from their trauma. Whilst processing furlough applications, we asked for a donation of £25 for small furlough applications that we process, and up to £200 for larger claims. This is in recognition of the lengthy processing time for us, from calculating to submitting with HMRC. B.A.C.A had these kinds words for us in December 2020: “Once again, we offer our sincere thanks for yet another outstanding donation to Bikers Against Child Abuse – your generosity truly makes a difference to our mission to empower abused children not to be afraid of the world in which they live. We cannot change their world; however, we can empower them to remove their fear and help them realise how strong they can be. It’s tangible support, from you, your clients and colleagues, which enables us to provide that much-needed to abused children. As I have said previously, ‘thank you’ misses the mark by miles but it comes from the heart… So, Thank You!”
Prestige are an Award Winning Donor
On Saturday 26th June, Sam was invited to the first B.A.C.A Capital Chapter social event to take place since 2019. Where Dozer (Vice President of the UK and President of Capital Chapter) awarded Sam & Prestige Business Management a certificate and special badge for all the work he has done in promoting the charity. Sam got to learn more about the targeted rehabilitation and recovery support that B.A.C.A. can give to children in desperate need of help. One child did not respond to normal therapy and could not manage to communicate with the therapist at all. Unperturbed, B.A.C.A turned to animal therapy, whereby the child spends some quality time in the company of horses, while the therapist is with them. This form of therapy has helped the child to open up and we are pleased to hear that they are now slowly recovering. Animal therapy isn’t cheap and your donations have helped to pay for this vital and life changing work.
Next Steps
As some of you are aware, rather than charge clients for processing furlough applications to HMRC, Prestige Business Management donated this time instead, and the fees paid by our clients were donated to BACA. With furlough support now finishing in September 2921, this scheme will be coming to a close. Yet we are hoping some of our clients will continue to donate in support of BACA’s work helping children to recover and thrive. Dozer (UK V.P. and President of Capital Chapter) has kindly agreed to come along to a Zoom, to thank you personally and explain what the charity does and how it works. Dozer will talk for around 20 minutes and then you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. We have two dates and times available, simply select the one you would like to attend and register.

More About Bikers Against Child Abuse
The Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) was founded originally in the United States, however, It is a global organisation. The charity has a simple ethos: “Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse.”
Why BACA are our Chosen Charitable Partner
The facts speak for themselves. Even though the organisations that focus primarily on child protection don’t even know the exact figures on child abuse in the UK, they can highlight their own service data which illustrates the scope of the problem. Abuse can be multifaceted. It can be neglect, it can be emotional abuse, it can be sexual abuse or even physical abuse. According to the NSPCC, 1 in 20 children have been sexually abused. One in 10 children has experienced neglect. Whilst 1 in 14 children experiences physical abuse. The statistics are horrifying. Yet, this is the tip of the iceberg – hidden abuse continues. This must stop. Nonetheless, at Prestige Business Management we want to provide our clients with a platform to help change our communities and our society by allowing our clients to donate to Bikers Against Child Abuse. We are so excited that Dozer has agreed to personally tell us more about B.A.C.A’s work. Please select a date and register to join us on zoom. If you cannot attend either of these dates and would still like to know more about Bikers Against Child Abuse please here or email [email protected] If you believe a child is at risk of abuse, please contact the NSPCC child abuse hotline on 0808 800 500 – it is open 24/7 for help, advice, and support.
